We assess modern slavery risks based on:

  • Geographic location of suppliers
  • Industry sector risk
  • Use of temporary or migrant labour
  • Transparency and ethical standards of suppliers

While we consider the overall risk within our direct UK-based operations to be low, we acknowledge potential risks within global supply chains for raw materials and outsourced production.

5. Due Diligence Processes

To mitigate risks, we:

  • Conduct supplier vetting and approval procedures
  • Prefer suppliers who demonstrate compliance with ethical and labour standards
  • Include modern slavery considerations in supplier contracts where appropriate
  • Review supplier policies and certifications (e.g., FSC, PEFC, ISO standards)
  • Work with reputable paper mills and distributors

Where concerns are identified, we engage with suppliers to seek clarification and improvement.
